Randwick Campus Redevelopment
Fit-out Works
Featured projects
The NSW Government is investing $802.5 million in the Prince of Wales Hospital Acute Services Building (ASB). This investment includes $82.5 million that was committed in June 2022 for additional ASB fit-out works, including additional operating theatres, an ICU pod and two additional wards.
Project Overview
The ASB is the first stage of the Randwick Campus Redevelopment (RCR) and the catalyst project for a master planned infrastructure transformation of the Randwick Health Campus, providing world-class health, research, and education facilities.
The ASB is the first major upgrade to the Prince of Wales Hospital in 25 years, delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure that will support new and innovative approaches to acute healthcare and provide staff with purpose-designed and built facilities that support contemporary clinical practice.
The new and expanded facilities, together with innovative approaches to clinical services, place the patient experience at the centre of healthcare delivery by:
– improving services and technology to deliver contemporary models of care
– integrating health services with education and research to foster a culture of discovery and innovation, and a rapid translation of research results to bedside care
– fostering calm through enhanced connectivity and intuitive wayfinding that helps patients reach their destination, and access the required health services.
Our Role
RP Infrastructure is commissioned to complete fit-out elements of Stage 1 and deliver Stage 2 of the ASB project. This scope includes providing comprehensive project management and facility planning services, including design finalisation, authority approvals, consultant procurement, contractor award, construction administration and commissioning activities in partnership with our client Health Infrastructure.
