RPI Sponsors Property Council Victoria Cities and Precincts Outlook Breakfast 2024

‘A space becomes a place when meaning is applied.’

One of the points made at the recent Property Council Victoria Cities and Precincts Outlook Breakfast on 16 February explored the challenges that Melbourne will continue to face as it grows and looks for urban renewal to sustain population growth.

During the event, keynote speaker Tom Mackellar provided valuable insights into trends in the urban renewal program in London, which was undertaken by Lendlease. The importance of collaboration between the government and private sector to achieve long-term outcomes was emphasised, as well as ensuring community engagement remains a priority throughout.

Community is the heart of great precinct development, and it is at the heart of what we do at RPI. We have been a part of placemaking for almost 30 years, supporting our clients in delivering infrastructure that meets the needs of their communities and integrates with the wider community as a whole.

During the panel discussion, other topics explored included AI and modular construction, which could be the key to the industry’s future. With a reduction in construction time identified as key to meeting housing demand, prefabrication and increased skilled labour were noted as being important to achieving that.

As a sponsor of the breakfast, alongside ADP Consulting Pty Ltd, Lendlease and Vicinity Centres, we would like to thank everyone who attended, as well as the Property Council Victoria for organising the event.
