Root Partnerships is pleased to confirm a major investment by Anacacia Capital

The recent announcement of a major investment by Anacacia Capital in Root Partnerships, confirms our intention to further expand our project management and advisory services footprint in the infrastructure and property sectors.

Established in 1994, Root Partnerships provides independent consulting and project delivery services to both government and private sector clients.

Over the last five years Root Partnerships has grown significantly: more than doubling in size. This investment from Anacacia supports plans from our leadership team to reinforce our growth trajectory going forward.

“Together with Anacacia, Root Partnerships is looking forward to continuing our strong growth across all of our current sectors – as well as expanding our independent advisory and project management services both nationally and throughout our region,” says Founder and Managing Director Peter Root.

Following the investment from Anacacia, Peter Root will continue to lead the business as Managing Director, with David Gundy (a Director of the firm for the past 14 years) as CEO and Mac Lydiard (a Director of the firm for the past 3 years) as COO. John Taylor will continue as non-executive Chairman – John joined Root Partnerships’ board in 2015 and took on the role of Chairman in October 2018.

We are proud of our long relationships, and, while we have been clear about our growth plans for some time, it has always been important to the leadership team that we continue to provide the same independent, tailored service that our staff, clients, contractors and partners of many years have come to expect from us,” says CEO David Gundy.

Offering the full suite of services from feasibility studies and business cases to delivering major capital works projects, Root Partnerships manages projects across a diverse range of sectors including aviation, healthcare, schools, tertiary education, housing, justice and civic and cultural infrastructure.

“We are very optimistic about the increasingly significant role played by infrastructure investment in the prosperity of Australia,” says Peter. “Our strategic collaboration with Anacacia will drive outstanding new opportunities for the firm and our people, and allows us to continue to deliver the best possible service to current and future clients.”

Anacacia Capital invests into leading small medium enterprises, partnering with founders and management teams of growing business to help accelerate their strategies.  They have won numerous awards for supporting growing SMEs including the 2019 Australian Investment Council Firm of the Year.

Anacacia’s Managing Director Jeremy Samuel noted “There is a large infrastructure pipeline in Australia. Root Partnerships has a demonstrated reputation for quality advice and projects. We are excited to partner with such an experienced team. The glowing feedback from key clients, staff and their track record impressed us. We look forward to supporting the team as they continue to grow these long-term relationships.”
