Root Partnerships provides pro-bono component in support of NAISDA’s Naya Wa Yugali

Root Partnerships is pleased to share that it is working with NAISDA Dance College in the preparation of a Business Case for NAISDA’s infrastructure expansion at its Kariong campus on the NSW Central Coast. The new National Centre for Indigenous Creative Learning will be called Naya Wa Yugali meaning “We Dance” in Darkinjung language. The project, which will be centred around a Bungul sand arena for cultural dancing, will enable an expanded curriculum, provide increased training and career pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, as well as secure and culturally appropriate onsite accommodation, new teaching, studio and performance spaces.

Part of Root Partnerships’ on-going support for NAISDA includes a pro-bono component of our Business Case fee. Concept designs and masterplan by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects were officially launched at NAISDA Dance College’s 2018 Sydney Season event in November at Carriageworks. Root Partnerships is delighted to be a part of this nationally significant project.
