Root Partnerships is especially proud to have been a gold sponsor for The Shepherd Centre’s SHINE Gala dinner held at Sydney Town Hall on Saturday 2nd June 2018.
The SHINE Gala dinner celebrated the life of the late Dr Bruce Shepherd AM and his extraordinary work in establishing The Shepherd Centre providing children born deaf or hearing impaired access to early intervention programs teaching deaf children to speak and enabling them to attend mainstream schools with full integration.
Dr Shepherd was also instrumental in lobbying the government for the introduction of the NSW State-wide Infant Screening Hearing (SWISH) program which was established in 2000 and is now used nationally. His commitment to delivering the best healthcare for all Australians will leave a lasting legacy in the ongoing work of The Shepherd Centre.
