RP Infrastructure

Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) and RP Infrastructure (RPI) have worked in partnership for over a decade, as part of a significant upgrade program across the campus. In 2018 RPI assisted PLC with the development of a 10 Year Master Plan, that included the development of The Joan Montgomery Centre, as well as other strategic builds within the college grounds.   

Project Overview

The Joan Montgomery Centre is a landmark development within the PLC campus. The facility includes a 50-metre and learn-to-swim pool, tiered spectator seating, gymnasium, gymnastics studio, and other multi-purpose spaces.  

Our Role

RP Infrastructure was appointed by Presbyterian Ladies’ College to manage the project from concept to completion. Our role included comprehensive project management services, leading the design and procurement phases, facilitating stakeholder coordination, and superintending the construction delivery. 

Our previous experience on campus enabled seamless integration of this project with existing operations. Working within a live school environment, we ensured minimal disruption to students, staff, and boarding facilities and led coordination efforts with the wider school community. 

Key Challenge

The primary challenge was delivering a major aquatic and sports facility within a live school campus adjacent to boarding accommodation. Careful staging, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation were essential to avoid disruption to school operations. The high-profile location also demanded architectural excellence and precision in execution to reflect PLC’s commitment to quality and innovation.
