Moreland City Council sought to deliver a complete redevelopment of the Oak Park pool to create a revamped Sports and Aquatic precinct including new pools, waterslides, fitness spaces, kiosk, retail areas, change facilities and landscaping.

Project Overview

The $27 million project was funded entirely by the community, with no assistance provided by the State or Federal Government.

The Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre redevelopment is Moreland’s largest ever capital works project. On completion the project delivered to the community:

  • A new Aquatic Centre hosting a variety of facilities including a gym, multipurpose hall, change facilities and staff accommodation.
  • New swimming pools including a 50m pool, toddler pool, learn-to-swim pool and waterslides.
  • A new Sports Pavilion overlooking the two sports ovals and featuring function spaces and change facilities.
  • A car park upgrade with traffic flow improvements.

Our Role

RP Infrastructure (RPI) was engaged to project manage the redevelopment of the precinct. RPI led the later stages of the design process and managed the tender process including a significant value management exercise. RPI also performed the role of Superintendent through the entire construction phase.

The project was successfully delivered on time and on budget.
