Gadens Law Practice needed to relocate from two existing premises to a prestigious new office tower located at 111 Eagle Street in Brisbane that required a new fitout.

Project Overview

The fit-out project received a 5-star Green Star rating for its environmentally sustainable construction, which exceeded the client’s expectations. This achievement was possible due to careful planning, innovative thinking, and dedication to the project.

Our Role

The RP Infrastructure (RPI) team was engaged to delivered a seamless end-to-end service by managing the design, relocation, and approvals management required.

Our initial responsibility was to establish the client brief and concept design with the appointed interior designer. After that, we tendered and appointed a specialist team of the design consultants. During the design process, our team worked closely with the design consultants to develop and present design options, which were then costed for client discussion and approval.

RPI subsequently managed the entire delivery process, which included handling an expression of interest, conducting a tender, and evaluating and agreeing on a successful contractor with the client. During the construction process, RPI acted as a Superintendent, which involved additional activities that were necessary due to the interface with the base building contractor and fitout contractor. RPI was further managed the relocation process, which involved coordinating stakeholders and planning all aspects of the relocation and the change management process. In providing consultancy services, RPI offered an end-to-end solution to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted first day in the new premises.

Key Challenges

The nature of the site and the City Development Control provided a number of challenges for the project team that required careful management to ensure the project’s success.
