RP Infrastructure is committed to making a positive contribution to the communities we work in, supporting our people and delivering projects in a responsible and sustainable way.
We partner with organisations creating social impact, including the Property Industry Foundation supporting youth homelessness, The Shepherd Centre, Housing all Australians, First Nations performing arts NAISDA Dance College, and Lighthouse Club Australia. Through scholarship programs with Curtin University and RMIT, we support future industry professionals.
We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace as a partner of the National Association of Women in Construction, Tomorrow’s Women in Construction and as a member of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency and Diversity Council Australia. As a Supply Nation member, we support Indigenous businesses through our supply chain and promote responsible environmental practices, with continuous offsetting carbon emissions since 2010 with South Pole and Clima.
Our project history displays our commitment to minimising the impact of the construction industry on the environment and, we support our clients in achieving their sustainability goals on projects. Where our clients elect to, we measure sustainable building initiatives through NABERS, the Green Building Council of Australia and the Passive Haus Institute.
Projects that we have supported with strong sustainable goals include: Monash University’s Woodside Building for Technology and Design which is the largest Passive House certified building in the Southern Hemisphere; Health Infrastructure’s Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, participating as a pilot project for the Connecting with Country framework; and the Melbourne Market Authority’s Solar Canopies project and Hydrogen Hub feasibility.
We have also worked with the Victorian School Building Authority to implement Passive House Principles on primary school projects and we are supporting the implementation of Deakin University’s Sustainable Built Environment principles on a range of projects which are part of the Victorian Higher Education State Investment Fund program.
With the UN calling for a transition to a circular economy and accountability at all levels we are reminded that every action we take, as individuals and as a business, can make a difference.
